Goodbye, Mr. Spock. You were not my Random Pick of the Day, you were my Pick of a Lifetime.
That is the stupidest minute in the history of the Internet. I don’t know if I should laugh or cry.
Hahahahahahahahaha!!
Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!
That should cover all the bases.
Nimoy was younger than Jack, older than me and I no longer can do the Vulcan salute because my fingers are non-cooperative. And so ok I didn’t think his poetry was much to think about. But when I read that in the 70s he was asked if he was aware that he was the subject of erotic dreams for thousands of women, his response was, “May all your dreams come true,” and I thought that was cool. I was amazed to find out that the Vulcan salute came from something he’d seen at an Orthodox synagogue as a boy. But the clincher was finding out that, when Nimoy wanted to be an actor, his father said Learn to play the accordion. You can always make a living playing the accordion. Oh yeah. Only if you’ve got the Cajun thing going for you (see, I snuck in a music reference there–whew).
